Looking for a fun weekend activity with the kids? No matter where you are in the Austin area, Marble Falls is a worthy drive for a fun day at the farm. We first found Sweet Berry Farm last fall when looking for a pumpkin patch.
One of our favorite things to do in DC was head out to the Maryland and Virginia farms to pick apples and pumpkins with the twins. Moving to Texas, I was concerned we wouldn’t find a similar experience but have been so happy with Sweet Berry Farm! Here’s a quick micro-post recapping our time last weekend.

What’s great about this place? It’s built for family activities. Last weekend the twins picked strawberries, fed goats, bounced on the “Berry Bounce” (which is a massive trampoline), and took a tractor-train ride. They have ice cream and waters available for purchase, but I recommend eating on the way out there or bringing snacks.

There is a cost for each activity, here’s a quick summary:
- Strawberries (Mid March – May): $2.99 per pound
- Tulips (March-April): $5 entry fee to tulip field $2 per tulip
- Picking Boxes: 75 cents each – Only our picking boxes are allowed for berry picking. The boxes are reusable and we hope you bring them back over and over again for no charge.
- Berry Bounce: $2.75 for 8-10 minutes of jumping fun (great for wearing the kids out)
- Sand Art: $3.25 (go home with a necklace that the kids created with colored sand)
- Sweet Berry Express Barrel Train: $3.75
- Paint-a-Pot: $4.25 (paint a pot (provided), fill it with dirt, and plant mini gourd seeds to grow at home!)
- Ice Cream: $3.79 per cup
- Popsicles: $1.79 each
- Animals: Free to pet – $0.25 per cup of goat food
