If I had to pick one time period to go back and live in, it 100% would be the late 1950s to early 1960s. The music, the fashion, the martinis…it all sounds so fabulous to me. If you’re like me and want to throw on a Sinatra record, lay poolside and feel like Midge Maisel you needn’t go further than the Texas Hill Country.
Located in-between downtown Fredericksburg and Enchanted Rock you’ll find Blue Skies Retro Resort. A gem of a find, this resort has all the fun and the charm you could possibly want for a weekend getaway.

Blue Skies Retro Resort offers five Shasta trailers that each have a mini sink, record player, tv, super comfy mattress and so much more in a cozy retro space. Spend your day lounging by the pool and then freshen up for the night in your own massive private bathroom suite. Complete with robes, luggage racks, and a gorgeous outdoor shower, these bathrooms are the perfect pairing to your sweet dreamin’ Shasta trailer.

Outside of each trailer is a private yard, perfect for reading a book or enjoying a cocktail while watching the Texas sun set over the hills. After dark, relocate to the large outdoor fireplace and play charades or cook up dinner on the grill.
You can book your stay at Blue Skies Retro Resort by clicking here. As always, this is not a paid endorsement. I genuinely adore this place and would personally highly recommend it. Cheers, y’all!
